The Story Behind the Chains
When I envisioned Broken Bonds, I wanted to create something that not only told my story but also captured the essence of breaking free from the struggles that held me captive. The chains you see on the cover represent the bonds of pain, lies, and abuse that once shackled me.
Each link symbolizes a moment, a memory, or a person that left its mark on my life. But the breaking of the chain? That’s the powerful moment of liberation—when I chose to fight back, heal, and rebuild myself.
Life isn’t always fair. It pushes us to the edge, tests our strength, and sometimes even breaks us. But what we do after being broken defines who we truly are. Broken Bonds is a testament to that journey—of finding hope in despair, courage in fear, and strength in vulnerability.
Through poetry, I’ve poured my raw emotions into these pages. The cracks, the explosions, the scattered pieces on the cover—they are reflections of the chaos I endured, but also of the beauty that comes from picking up those pieces and forging something stronger.
This image speaks to everyone who has felt trapped by their circumstances, only to realize that freedom lies in breaking the chains that no longer serve them.
As you walk with me through the pages of Broken Bonds, I hope you’ll find pieces of your story too. Perhaps, it will remind you that no matter how heavy the chains may feel, they can be broken.
